Old McDonald had a farm

So for the 4th of July, the girls and I were invited last minute to Corpus Christie for the weekend. Sam's parents have a lake house at Lake Corpus Christie. So we found a doggie sitter and off we went on a 4 1/2 hour drive down south. It was ok going down. Austin traffic sucked, San Marcos was on fire on the side of the highway for many miles. But we made it safe and sound and enjoyed a great weekend with Sam's family. She is the best for inviting us! We shot off fireworks from the pier. Emmie was not to thrilled with them. Loren managed to burn her fingers with a sparkler (nothing bad), Emmie fell and got her first bloody nose, and she got her first scrapped knees (it looks so bad). But hey, didn't we all do that at one point in our lives? The thing that I missed the most was Bob. 4th of July being America's birthday and all and our Soldier's are still over there fighting for us so we can have what we have today. I have already starting planning our next 4th of July with a camping trip to BLORA lake when he is home! I can't wait!
